Converting a Catalog to Sessions
I used to work with Sessions but for several months was forced to use Catalogs because I was experiencing a bug that I never got to the bottom of. The bug seems to have disappeared now due to updates in Capture One and/or OSX.
My question is: can Catalogs be converted to Sessions while retaining all the adjustments, variants and tagging?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Short answer is: yes.
The how-to is: export your images with adjustments (File > Export > Originals).
This will populate a selected folder with the images and a CaptureOne subfolder with adjustment settings. Variants and tagging should be part of the it.
Tip: create the session before you export and use the session folder of choice (Capture Folder or other) your Export folder.
You can test your workflow without harm as the export does not affect the contents of the catalog.0 -
Paul,
Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction. Your approach does work for almost everything - adjustments and colour tags are exported and creation dates are preserved.
However, one omission that would mean that this would not work for me is that LCCs and their effects seem to be lost.
Is this a known limitation or am I doing something wrong?

Andrew,
I looked into the issue and can confirm your findings. It is on Mac 7.2 only, not on Win 7.2.
I have reported the issue to Phase One.0
