Fisheye Distortion Correction Support?
I am a registered user of Capture One Pro 3, 4 and 5. I have been evaluating C1 Pro 6.0 vs DxO Optics Pro 6.0 in regarding to the fisheye distortion correction capabilities, commonly known as "de-fish".
The C1 Pro 6.0 adds the keystone correction which is a welcome addition but does not correct the curvatures generated by a fisheye lens such as the Canon 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye, on a full frame DSLR such as the Canon 5D Mark II. For example, if an interior photo was taken in a cathedral, the pillars will remain curved after enabling the distortion processing in C1 6.0 while the same CR2 file can be corrected in DxO to look like it was taken with a rectilinear wide angle lens with straight but slanted pillars. The slanted pillars can be corrected with the keystone correction feature presented in both products.
Before I upgrade to Capture One Pro 6.0, I would like to know if the full "de-fish" feature will be supported? Do I need to create a support case to get the answer?
Thank you!

That sounds like a good plan!0 -
Are there any lens profile to de-fisheye images? 0 -

The original post in this thread already concluded that it is not. (?!)0 -
In 6.2 there is a distortion module, so C1 has a engine for distortion. In maximum value fishy images getting straighter but thats not enought to get straigth lines. I'm wonder is there somewhere a profile of distortion that do the job? 0 -
Hm. After 10 years, there's still no profile for any of Nikon's fisheye lenses - neither for the 10.5 DX nor for the 8 - 15mm? Is this really that complicated?
