new session

How do I get "command N" to make a new session? When I try to do it by using "keyboard shortcuts" I get error "command N is used by "null" and cannot be reassigned"

  This is a known issue, which I recall to have reported (after being discussed here not long ago), that you can not change the designation of the New Session and New Catalog keyboard shortcuts in the Mac version. I have not checked on 7.2.1...
  (and it is a Mac only issue; Win version is not affected).
