Any clue on R-D1 support EVER?
Dear Phase One,
Currently, Adobe is supporting Epson's RAW format in their new Adobe Photoshop CS-2. They support batch operations, cropping, and many other features you do.
I have been an avid Capture One user with my Canon EOS products. But now, as I'm moving away from use of those cameras for much more than sports, I'm shooting a lot with the R-D1, and you don't yet support it.
I asked back in January or so, and was told that it was being considered. Obviously it wasn't for the 3.7 release. But if you want a current customer to continue using the product, I suggest you at least let me know whether or not you are going to support it, and in which release.
If you are not going to support it, please have the decency to tell me (and the others who use both Canon and Epson R-D1 cameras) that you won't. I'm going to upgrade Photoshop, so I'll have an alternative, but I really like your interface.
What I don't like is your unwillingness to explain what your rollout schedule for new cameras is. For example, what's in 3.8, 3.9. This leads to the \"keep 'em guessing\" attitude, and with stiff competition now available, I don't think Phase One can afford to do that.
I thought we waited all of that time in December to January so you could roll out new cameras more easily. Even if you can't support the R-D1, you were planning to support Adobe's format, so where are your plans for DNG?
