Viewer show everything in monochrome!

I'm almost too embarrassed to ask this but all my thumbnails of raw and processed images are in colour but every image I bring up in the viewer is on monochrome and I can't see why. I must have hit a switch somewhere but I can't see it. HELP!

  Color tab, Black & White panel, Enable Black & White option checked ?

  I had this problem a couple of days ago.
  
  If turned out that the "View selected color range" option was set. Although I had been working with the Colour Editor I think the setting was an accidental keystroke entry - probably "fat finger" trouble when doing something else. It took me a minute or so to realise what was going on because it was unexpected.
