IQ250 Metadata not visible in 7.2
Hi,
I recently used a PhaseOne IQ250 back for the first time so I have a bunch of IIQ RAW's to process along with D800E NEF's. I use PhotoMechanic to ingest add metadata (sidecar XMP's) and do my initial selects. I've imported the IIQ and NEF files to C17.2 but the Metadata panel for the IIQ's has none of the info I added in PM. The data for the NEF's is all there but not on the IIQ files. The data is in the XMP sidecars but C1 is not showing it.
EDIT: I imported the same images into Media Pro and it correctly displays the metadata.

Have you set CO7 to load metadata from XMP files in preferences? 0 -
Paul,
I believe so as the metadata on the NEF's is shown, just not on the IIQ's.
Looking at the settings on the Image preferences sheet I have Auto Sync Sidecar XMP set to Load. I do not have either of the two "Prefer" check boxes selected.

Mark,
Can you read back the IQ250 file's metadata in Photomechanic? I try to verify that the metadata is in the XMP file.
I do have Photomechanic 5 running, but no IQ250 files yet to test.0 -
Hi Paul,
Yes, metadata is shown in PM5.
I can email you an image if your willing to test.

Paul,
I sent a link to the files on Monday to your email.

Mark,
I made an error in the mail address. I apologize for that. If you like, please send it again. I corrected the address in my post.0 -
Paul,
Details re-sent.

Hi Mark,
Issue confirmed. I reported the issue to Phase One. It is probably isolated to IQ250 files only, as far I could see, not IQ180 or P45. Not tested on other IQ2 files yet.
Issue is both on Mac and Windows versions of CO 7.2.0 -
Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking a look at this and reporting it.

Hi Paul,
I re-tested the same files with the new 7.2.1 - the problem has not been fixed. Has Phase One acknowledged the issue?

Hi Mark,
I did explicitly received an acknowledgement on the issue back in February, which is not a standard procedure in our communications, by the way. I have been in contact with Phase One about the issue today and I'll hope there will be more to learn from the horse's mouth soon.0
