Fed Up With Phase One and Capture One
Went out this morning to do some photography with my back and Capture One. Its an old tethered back, but works just fine for my use.. in fact I really like the look of this particular Kodak CCD. So before I leave home I fire up the laptop, camera, battery and firewire hub... and everything to make sure everything is charged and all is working. I get to the site 70 miles away and get everything hooked up and boot the laptop and Capture one throws me an error that I have not used it in the last 30 days and must reactivate it again. Of course I am out in the boondocks and no internet any place to do this. So Phase One... what kind of crap is this? Why would this happen and will it happen again. My license is not up until 7/20/20. I was going to renew it but am now having second thoughts and might just rid myself of everything and go with a different manufacturers back. And no, I don't mind the cost of Capture One. Its a very good app, but why is it loaded with so much bull$hit. And my license does expire on 7/20/20 and how come there is no pop up to remind me when it does? This is the year 2020.... not 1963! And I am only 4 activations?? Good grief.

Mark,
This is primarily still a user to user forum.
Do I take it you are using a subscription activation?
You really should take it up with the Capture One people directly using the "Submit a request" option and get some personalised service.
Depending on which back you are discussing you might also get some benefit from raising the issue in the Phase One hardware Users forum - the old forum as it was. As far as I am aware that is still operational but only for users of Phase One hardware.
