Fuji (or other special version) Capture One 20: Will it also work with TIFF/PSD/JPG files? Roundtripping?
Hello,
While I understand that getting one of the brand special versions, like the Fuji one will allow me to only work with Fuji cameras' RAW files....and not Nikon, Canon, etc.....
I'm wanting to know if it will allow you to work with NON-RAW image formats, like TIFF or PSD or jpg for instance.
I ask in the example of maybe you are doing focus stacking and need to round trip from Capture One to Affinity Photo or other software that is specialized in focus stacking....you generally have a TIFF file coming back into C1 after being compiled by the external program.
So, would Capture One then be able to catalog, access, manage and even do color processing on this TIFF file that you are round tripping?
Thank you in advance,
cayenne

Yes, you can import, open and edit JPEG, TIFF, and PSD images in the branded Capture One, even in each branded Capture One Express.
Note that the JPEG, TIFF, and PSD images do not have to be made by the camera brand you have a license for.
Also note, that if you not already have the software, you can run the free Express mode or the full mode for 30-days as a trial.

Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for the reply!! Ok that works for me!!
I'm working the 30 day trial of the full version, and trying to decide if I need the PRO or just. the Fuji version for now.
I'm thinking I can get the Fuji version for now and if I need, I can upgrade to full PRO for $159 at the current prices.
Which strangely enough, appears to be cheaper to buy now this way, than just buying the full $299 PRO version all at once.
