Naming Protocol Preferences Save As Default
LoggedI'd like to be able to save my naming preferences as default. As it stands now I have to add an underscore to separate my session, which ends with an 8 digit date, and my image counter. If I forget, I wind up with a 12 digit number at the end of each image name, which looks inelegant.
I know I can rename, etc, but if you've already exported a bunch of jpgs for the client to use in sketches changing image names is a ... don't.

Hi Dana,
Thank you for the post.
You can always save your naming preferences as a User Preset and then apply it onwards.

As far as I can tell, that requires me to remember to choose that preset at the start of each new session.
I'd like to be able to save as a new default and never have to think about it again.

dana,
On my system Export Naming via Export or Output Processing is "sticky" and persists for existing or new sessions (at its most recent settings) from one session to the next.
Are you seeing something different ?

Oh, that's interesting, but not what I'm after. I've never looked in that box before, except to make sure the image will keep its name, so I've always left it on Image Name. I don't want things renamed ... ever?
I want the same kind of stickiness in Capture Name in the New Session dialog box and in Next Capture Naming.

Ah, so all of your questions so far relate to Tethering rather than any other aspect of C1?

Aha! Yes, I haven't shot to card in so long I completely forgot that anyone else might be.

Well yes, but most others are probably reading the questions as related to some later stage in image processing so there is room for confusion to appear!
Maybe add the word "Tethering" to the descriptions to help people identify whether or not the post is something they might be able to help with? Where applicable.
