Bugs in German localization

    Iptc4xmpCore:Location is one of several legacy fields that have been replaced by fields with a more precisely defined scope. Read the IPTC specification article 6.22 (the "sublocation") for Iptc4xmpCore:Location. (https://iptc.org/std/photometadata/specification/IPTC-PhotoMetadata#sublocation-legacy )

    Iptc4xmpExt:LocationCreated and Iptc4xmpExt:LocationShown mentioned in the User Note(s) field of article 6.22. Those fields are in articles 10.19 and 10.20. They have been available a long time. LocationCreated is a single value field, I think of it as camera location at capture time. LocationShown is a multiple values field.

    I think LocationCreated and LocationShown are still absent in C1 metadata tool. Back in the day it was one of the reasons I decided to not use C1 for metadata.

    I can't imagine that Capture One tracks errors/bugs within the user forum.

    If you would like a correction for this:

    Personally, I would find the naming "Ortsdetails" or "Ort" a bit clumsy. "Bezirk" or "Stadtteil" would be better (IMO).

    Otherwise you could argue that 'storage location' describes the geographical location where a digital photo was taken (i.e. stored on the memory card).

    You are right, I wanted to start this thread in the feature request subforum but somehow got it wrong. I will start a new topic  there and poitn to this thread, maybe C1 can move the thread.

    Regarding the translation: For sure I am not the authority on how to translate this term from Englisch to German, there are probably way better words than my suggestions. But I think, that "Bezirk" or "Stadtteil" are to related to subparts of a town. The Iptc4xmpCore:Location tag could also contain e.g. the name of a monument, a building or some other landmark.

    @OddS.

    I just tried out, which field of my XMP files is stored in "Speicherort" when syncing the metadata, this happened to be "Iptc4xmpCore:Location". It might be, that other tags are stored in the field with higher priority when present.

    At the end of the day it does not really matter, how the field is labled in the UI, but I got confused by this several times in the past.
