Toggle all on-screen floating tools visible/invisible
ImplementedTo save space on the monitor I often use floating tools. If I don't need them I drag them to the side of the window or at places of low interest for the current image, etc., I constantly see me dragging the floating windows around the screen.
How nice would it be to have a keyboard shortcut for all floating tools to hide, and the same key shows them again at the place and in the same state they had been before they were hidden? Answer: This would be very nice! :-)
Though you can create a workspace with and one without floating tools, the saved workspace feature does not do it, for these reasons:
- The saved workspace shows the floating tools at the location and state they were last saved, not at the location and state the tools were last made invisible.
- There is no shortcut for specific workspaces
Point 1 is the "deal breaker" here, even if point 2 would be implemented.
Thanks and regards,

Hi BeO,
Thank you for the feature request.
Your suggestions regarding the option to hide floating tools with a shortcut and selecting a workspace with a shortcut were taken on board.
As an option, for now, a new custom tool tab can be created so that all floating tools can be dragged there once they are not needed.
Best regards,
Lily

it is a very good idea... to have an ability to assign a command to a key(combo) to hide / show __ALL__ floating tools (and make sure to give user an option to preserve tools locations on screen between C1 launches) will be a great asset to UI and helps even more vs inflexible UI in ACR/LR...

Thanks Lily.
As for the workaround you proposed, this isn't bring me very far.
Once the floating tools (assumed they are tied together) are dragged to the custom tool tab by one drag/move action, you can't bring them floating out again other than one-by-one.
Plus, you have to (1) show the Tools panel e.g. with a shortcut key, which results in resizing the viewer which I want to avoid, (2) hide the Tools panel (which again results in resizing the viewer which I want to avoid).
That defeats the purpose of the floating tool completely, because I have them on the screen because I want more of the image viewer on the screen, and want to avoid this constant nervous resizing of the elements of the screen layout (Tools panel, Viewer panel, Browser panel) which happens if you show/hide them.
The floating tools work great of you have two monitors, but for a single monitor my proposition would be a big step ahead, I think.
Thanks,

I agree - the ability to show/hide floating tools with a keyboard shortcut would be very useful.
I was also hoping to create a keyboard shortcut to create a floating tool for a particular too - Filter comes to mind - but it doesn't look like that is an option for some reason.
Please implement, it doesn't seem terribly complicated to do.
Thanks

In addition to this request, at least on MacOS, with some floating tools, if I do minimize the Capture One window, the floating stay visible even if I am using any other program.
The request seems to be tagged as "complete", kind of confusing, it does not seem added to current version yet.
Best regards!
