V20 (Latest Version) Slow to open on Catalina 10.15.6

I'm having issues with the latest version of C1 v20 and Mac Catalina 10.15.6. I have the top of the line MBP and Capture 1 continues to crash upon opening, won't open at all, or opens after nearly 10 minutes. This is making the software completely unusable for me right now trying to edit photos. I've attempted to re-install, and still get the issue with a fresh image from the website. 

Tips/tricks/solutions?

  I observed it is slow in all OS, Alec… I am on Mojave.

  I suspected it was due to having the catalog on a NAS, but after moving it locally i'm still having major issues.

  Let me try to summarize:

  • you are using catalogs
  • typically the catalog[s] (and the images) are located on a NAS
  • your macOS (10.15.6) is not (yet) officially supported

  What you did not yet mention are your settings concerning

  1. Metadata synchronisation (across a network connection / to the NAS?)
  2. How is the NAS connected to your MBP? (i.e. WLAN, LAN, USB, Thunderbolt)

  I think that the answers on those open topics might help to narrow down where the problem might be located...
