True, Lars, you can't move a clone mask BUT…

You can move its source point and eventually tweak
the mask itself by adding to or erasing from it.

Thats why I cry – it was possible up to C1-12 and very helpfull for details. Hoped the staff would answer: coming soon

Up to CO v. 12, heals and clones each used a layer
for every operation. That meant that so many layers
were then stolen from the maximum 16 available.

Now, it's an unlimited number of heals or clones each
    in their respective layer.

    Coming soon? Maybe!

I'm not sure that the relationship between mask and source point would still provide the optimum correction for a detailed point on the image if the subject had moved within the frame from one frame to another. It might in some cases I suppose.

If you want to make a point about it Lars either post in the Feature Request section where you might expect some acknowledgement that you request has been noted or use the "Submit a request" feature to create a personalised request if you have not already done so.

By now, Lars,  I am sure you are also well aware that the C1 policy, so far, has always been that no one will ever comment on possible future changes or additions until they are available (or in the case of 20.1.1  until very nearly available.)

Hi. Using the clone mask (or another) I always need the stamp/ brush with a core and a zone outside reaching from full clone to zero. To place it in a photography is difficult, even one makes a straight line. So after a first try often the mask must be moved for a part of millimeters. Moving the mask it is easy to do it one or two times. To make it new not.

The optimum correction was in the past (in other programms) not to use brushes but broken lines to set a mask exact.

For complicated forms of the clone mask I make allways a new clone layer; I can´t see what the problem is to make several of them. But we must not talk about.

I know C1 (and other) never make what I wish... but they shall know about without much work for me; may be they read this forum, may be not.  Nice day, best regards, lars
