To get to the bottom of your problem, you need to provide more details. But there is at least a workaround to get you back to work: If you bought an upgrade, you can use the new license code also to activate the previous version 12. Install v12 in a separate folder (in case you already uninstalled it) and enter the new code on first start.

Thank you very much for such a quick response and a hint to use the code to re-activate '12', which is already working.

I am not sure what details I should provide.

    The specification of my computer:

    iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009)

Processor: 3,06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Memory: 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256  MB.

Disc SSD, min. 100 GB free.

The Capture One 12 works witout any problems, the instalation of the '20' was completed without any problems, but immidiately after opening the programme shuts down. I was able to enter the activation key only once and the program "closed unexpectedly".

I attach the print screen with the automatic report generated by the computer after the Capture One stops working.

I see that it is a 2009 iMac. Which version of MacOS is it running? Have you checked that v20 runs on that version of MacOS?

Edited to add: I see that it is MacOS 10.13.6, which is supposed to be OK.

As Ian noted macos 10.13.6 -- High Sierra -- is supposed to be OK.  If you peruse enough threads you'll find many, many complaints of Capture One 20 not working when running on High Sierra.  They all report the same finding you did -- program crashes upon launch.

Sticking with Capture One 12 is probably your best bet as newer versions of macOS are not officially supported on your hardware.   In general, Apple stops supporting macs after 7 years.

In my humble opinion the problem with 20 is in the 256MB of graphic card .

hello, good night, i'm having the same problem, i'm using version 20 and working very well, until this last update doesn't work anymore ... does it mean that this latest update won't work anymore?

You are posting in the Capture One 20 Forum.  The recent update is for Capture One 21.  A Capture One 20 license will not work for Capture One 21.   Did you post in the incorrect forum or did you download Capture One 21 software when you only have a Capture One 20 license?
