Keeping several days shooting live in Film Strip
Frustrated to find that even after selecting All Images in the catalog collections, the minute I fire off another frame, the browser reverts to showing only that day's shooting. I'm only shooting a 10 or 20 images a day, and want to compare images without having to constantly go back to the Library tab and select All Images. Is there a way to avoid this?

Presumably you are tethering?
Direct tethering or Hot folder?
While asking a question I may as well also ask which camera you are using - just in case it is relevant in some way at some point.

Yes tethering with a Nikon D850. I haven't set up a session - working with the Catalog. Even if I return later in the day, it will set up a new date/time section in the Library and I'm back to having just the most recent image I've shot in the browser only. Very frustrating.

Direct tethering

It's often suggested that tethering is best done with sessions. Maybe this is one of the reasons?

Is this a time out thing?
The "Smart Collection" seems to be retained (on my system) if I simulate a camera disconnection to emulate a re-opening of the shoot. The Smart Collection, by date and time in a Catalog, remains the same. However I would imagine that if the PC went into hibernation between shots a new Smart collection based on the time and date the next image arrived would ensue.
That said there is still the possibility, just like for a session, to specify a folder into which all images are to be deposited and that can be selected as to the system folder that is to be visible in the browser (assuming in my example that the images are not being stored in the Catalog itself.)
In that respect is would seem to be possible to store the images in a specific folder outside the catalog and identify it as the folder visible in the browser just like a session.
If the images are being saved into the Catalog things seem to become more opaque - but perhaps that is because I rarely use catalogues and never for those occasions when I am using the tethered option so my familiarity with the different options is not good enough to offer a suggestion.
There is probably a Tutorial video or a webinar somewhere that covers the options but I don't have time to dig into that just at the moment.
Perhaps someone else can chip in?

Thanks all. I can't seem to solve the problem using the Catalog so it seems the Session is the solution here. I do normally use Sessions but it slipped my mind to create one after a reinstall and some time out of Capture One. Perhaps the Session should be the default for tethering use to avoid this issue I don't know.
