old catalogues did not upgrade to C1 20 - and version 12 license now deactivated
Seems there are quite a few people with the same issue - upgrade and the old catalogues are no longer available, and version 12 license deactivated too. This is not an upgrade, it is a completely new piece of software and should not be marketed as an upgrade. Do I really have to go through all the editing again and re import all the images - if not what is the easy way to do this?

Use your current license key with the version 12 software.
That said, I find it sad that updating to the current format isn't something that is automatically done (after asking your permission, of course).

Dave,
Why are your older catalogues "no longer available"?
Do you mean you have to navigate to them and open them before they appear in the "Recently Used" list (or whatever it might be called) and then permit C1 20 to update the catalog files to accommodate new or changed data that it needs in order to function?
If so ss that really a problem? Should you be forced to wait, as part of an upgrade, whilst the software seeks files to convert possibly scattered around you system and then converts them?
Or is it more appropriate to allow you to choose to updated the catalog (or session) files at your discretion and when you really need to use them?
