MediaPro continuity
Hello. I have over 150,000 photos organized on Media Pro, and as Phase One doesn't support that program now, I need to know how I can save the information for those photos (typed into Caption) as time goes on. I'm afraid if I upgrade to a new Mac system, I may lose the use of Media Pro. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by saving the information? Like keywords, catalog sets....?

The information I need to have saved is what I type into the "Captions" box, in this case the locality, date and photographer's name (my name or my wife's name) for every photo. I assume all the metadata will stay with the photos, but the Captions cannot apparently be transferred to other programs. I need to know if there is anything I can do with that information besides keep it in my Media Pro version 1.4.1.

Unfortunately, I do not have Media Pro anymore because I am running Catalina now. I did a lot of research trying to find a similar app with the same capabilities and there are almost none out there. Then I settled down on Digikam which works fine for my needs.
I had to create a new catalog for my images though. My issue was that I mainly used Catalog sets for my organizing. And the only way I got Digikam to recognize the catalog sets was the way I saved individual files.
There are some options in Media pro, how you save them to the files and how you export them. Somewhere in the menus is an option for exporting annotations and when you click that a small window opens with different options. You need to play around with those options to see if you get the result you need. Once it works fine for an image then you can batch export the rest
It worked out for the catalog sets maybe it will work out for the captions as well.
