how do you open a tif.cos file in cxapture one?
i have deleted a session, but still have the captureone folder on a hard drive that has within it another folder called "settings120" that is filed with all the images but with the tif.cos ending. Can i create a new session and open these up files up again as raw?

The cos files are capture one settings files. They reside in the Capture One folder (sub folder Settings120 when created with version 12.0), which should be alongside your raw files (of tif files in your case?).
Create a new session somewhere else, put a few images in a new folder outside the session folders, browse with the session library tool to that folder and study the relatioship of the folders and files which will be created as a reaction to you browsing /clicking that new images folder from within the session.
If you understand the relationship you may be able help yourself, as the scenario you have described is not fully understandable by me at least.
