Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens

There is currently a specific thread for Lens profile requests.

That said it may be worth observing that, typically, long lenses, especially if a modern zoom with a starting "wide angle" point at 100mm or higher, tend not to be profiled on the basis of there being little or no benefit to be obtained from such a profile. The exception appears to be a few lenses of older design concepts.

In addition in recent times the introduction manufacturer data with regard to "correction" that is required as part of the lens design philosophy tends to be established by the manufacturers and applied to the data as part of the image creation process. In C1 this is typically reported as "Manufacturer Profile" as I understand things. A "catch all" adjustment profile would typically be reported as "Generic".

Have you ascertained that there is in fact a need for the model of lens to have greater standard correction than is already available?

Hi SFA, thank you for your reply and explanation.  I will re-post on the other thread.

I have not ascertained whether there is a need for a specific correction rather than a generic correction, just observing all of the other lenses that have a specific lens profile.

Thanks again for the explanation, shame C1P cannot reply with sensible explanations.
