Catalog with multiple preview resolutions

I want only about 10% of my master catalog at the highest resolution and the rest at the lowest resolution. If I build the master catalog by importing smaller catalogs created with different resolutions, will they remain that way or will COPro try to regenerate them automatically bases on my global preference?

    Capture One doesn't automatically regenerate previews if you change the resolution of previews in Preferences. So if you have some previews at resolution 2560, for example, and change the resolution in Preferences to 5120, only newly generated (or re-generated) previews will be at 5120.

    Edited to add: there is no particular virtue in having previews at a higher resolution than your monitor. So if your monitor resolution is 2560, setting preview resolution to 5120 won't improve anything, but it will use up more disc space.
