Text tool option to add text into photos so that we no longer need other application

Text tool option would be help full so that there will be no need to use any other application or importing any text as image to overlay options

    Thank you for feedback on Capture One - this is always welcomed and encouraged among our users and we appreciate the time you've taken to contribute towards the development of the software.

    I have forwarded your comments and suggestions to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release.

    Whilst we cannot comment on future releases, we take all suggestions on board and hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.

    I will certainly back this, considering much of the user base of Capture One is fashion and editorial, adding a sophisticated Text tool may get us one step closer to completely eliminating round tripping to Photoshop/Pixelmator/Affinity Photo.

    As a workaround, I created a Process Recipe that adds a watermark to my photo.  Whenever I need to add text to a photo, I enter it as the 'watermark text' for that Process Recipe.  Then I change the font, colour, position, opacity etc..using the watermark tool. The limitation with using watermarks, is that you can only have one watermark per-photo, and I believe it is limited to a single sentence. So if you are looking to have multiple sentences spread over the image, then you'd have to add that using another application (e.g GIMP or Photopea).  Note, that I'm using Capture One 20, a text tool may have been added in later Capture One releases.

    UPDATE: I have given up waiting for Capture One to implement the various feature requests and decided to switch from Capture One to ON1 PhotoRAW,  which has a proper TEXT tool feature, full support for all my Nikon lens and much improved search performance.

    I would also request adding a text tool to Capture One. This is a necessity for my work, and
    is very time-consuming to use  a 2nd tool. Using a process recipe to add watermark is very 
    cumbersome, because I'll need a HUGE number of recipes for all my images.

    Each image should have it's own specific text description. It could be a text layer. 
    It should have ability for custom text as well as incorporating metadata from image 
    e.g  Line-1: Orion Nebula, <<date-taken>> <<time-taken>>
         Line-2: telescope-make, <<camera-model>>, <<ISO>>, <<exposure-time>>
         
    I am using Capture One 20, have license for 21, but not yet upgraded (need new PC first).

    This is essential functionality for me too.  Having recently acquired Capture One I am very disappointed to find its not available.  The watermark tool is not sufficient for me.  I am going to have to look elsewhere also, since this is a long-standing request that has not been implemented. I'm sorry, because its a great programme otherwise.

    Ditto all the above. Our company is a very good customer of C1. We have photographers all over the world using it. Please update us on this functionality.  We really could use this ASAP.

    Ditto Ditto!  if it was not for the extensive Sony camera tethering I would have been out of camera one already for the lack of a Text tool.
