Image input hanging up on some kind of processing
After several years of succesful processing and success after last version upgrade everything was ok. Today the input function is hanging up and not completing the process. The little circular display indicating somethis going on continues to spin indication some thing happening. The images are blurred (pixelate maybe) the way they appear halfway though the input process. The activity message says A auto processing will complete in twenty seconds. The message does not ever complete. I have found if I exit C1 and re enter the images are proper and the hang up is not apparent. Exiting somehow ends the never ending process. One other strange thing, sometimes one or more of the images have a bright green filter over them in the browser, however when that image is selected it is normal in the viewer. This doesn't happen every time I try to imput a new image. My system is Win 10 and I have tried multiple cameras and memory cards. I have tried two different card readers and set all functions to default values. This hangup happens both on raw images and jpeg, black and white and color I feel that something is set incorrectly but darned if I can find it. Any thoughts?

Bill,
What do you mean bu "The Input function?" Importing new images?
If so, importing into a session or a catalogue?
Are you also Auto processing on import or have you selected an set of already imported mages and gone for the Auto Adjustments option?
How many images in the batch? Are they being processed on an internal or external drive?
I think you may nee to use the "Submit a Request" feature found at the top of many Support pages here and create a Support Case to request personal support from the C1 support team. In particular I think it is very likely to be useful to take a look at the log files that C1 creates in order to try to ascertain what seems to be preventing the processes completing their tasks (or not successfully reporting that they have in fact completed - it's the same problem for you either way.)

Importing new images is correct. It is a catalog session. I don't intend to auto process on import, but it appears that is what is happening. The same situation occurs if importing a single image or multiple (say 5). Internal drive from the camera's card. I'll sook at the log but not much chance of me understanding what I see.

Checked event log. The only thing entered is "capture one starting". This is there many times because of me trying to figure out what is happening.

I may have found something. Scrolling down on import dialog screen I found the auto adjust checked. Unchecked it and import went ok. Now the question is why the hang up if that box is checked?

Hi Bill,
"I found the auto adjust checked. Unchecked it and import went ok."
If you have had this problems when auto processing, it will happen later when processiong manually to. Tis problem came with V20 and is exactly the issue I reported here:
Kind regards
