view two files - softproof only one
Hi - As the title implies, I would like to have a side by side comparison of two files but only soft proof one of the files before going to print. Is this at all possible? As soon as I hit proof, every file is soft proofed. I have tried opening one of them in a separate viewer but that doesn't change anything.
The reason I am attempting this: I want to take an image and make my desired edits - then, create a variant of that same image. I would then soft proof one of the variants and apply additional edits to it to more closely match the original desired effect. Hopefully, this makes sense and might actually be of use to others that are doing a lot of printing on their own.
If not possible, I will add it to the request wish list for future releases. Thank you!

When you use View > Proof profile, it affects all images. I am not aware of a different solution.

Thank you Paul. I didn't think so but I am no expert with C1. I am going to submit a feature request since I am using C1 mainly for printing and some of the paper profiles look substantially different in proof mode so it would be nice to get an edit where I want it, and then proof a variant of that for a side by side comparison to see the "final" output. I can then tweak the proof variant a bit further.
I appreciate your reply.
