Is there a safe way to terminate a Verify Database
I made the mistake of verifying a corrupt database when I could have gone to a recent backup. The result is that I have been looking at the Transfer in progress screen for nearly 48 hours for a catalog with only 11k images. I need to stop this process. I could quit CO and load the backup but I am not sure if there are any consequences to this. Just wondering if any one has tried terminating CO during a Verify.
Thanks.

FWIW I have had to terminate a verify database operation at least twice because it was taking inordinately long. Once, on the advice of customer support, I moved the catalog to my internal drive, from its normal location on an external, and ran verify again. It completed in about an hour. The other time, I just replaced the catalog with a backup. No issues in either case. Since you are planning to replace the catalog with a backup, there should be no problem even if the current catalog is mangled.

Thanks, I decided to let it run rather than terminate. I’ll see where it is at when I return. Thanks for letting me know.

How long did it take eventually Michael ?
I must wait for 2 days and half for 25k image catalog...
Quite disappointed with CO when it comes to big catalog (specially I've git problème with keywords.... the only reply from the support is Thank you, your request is transferred and may be solve one day...)

I eventually gave up, terminated the verify and went to a backup. For me it just was not worth the down time. If you have a recent backup, you may want to consider that option. No software process should take that long.

Thank you Michael. Agreed. I said 2/3 days, il this was more than that. I've terminated the process. :(
