Capture One offers a toolkit for people to create "Plug-ins" for whatever functionality they think might be popular or, more likely. profitable in some way.

Presumably possible developers (and the companies you list above) have no interest in taking advantage of the offer. Perhsp they see no need or benefit?

I think the real problem is that C1 doesn’t promote this capability and there is not much sample code or documentation. As a developer I don’t like spending time on something that’s hard to develop for. And others are probably the same.

    Hans,

Would you write a Plug-in for Matjaž ?

If so would you expect to make it a commercial product?

    How much would it cost?

It's interesting that there was a recent special offer involving Smug Mug but no mention of any possible automated upload as far as I could see.

Since Smug Mag own Flickr I assume the same comment would apply.

500px is owned by a large Chinese company involved in art use licensing - so I would assume they would need to be involved if they were interested.

I don’t think there is much or any money in writing this kind of plugin.

I'm guessing that Smug Mug, et al, have the same opinion.

Thank you for your comment/opinions. Still, I think that that kind of "small thing" is keeping amateur and hobby photographers on Lightroom. The price of C1 is now OK. I can live without some lens profiles. I hope that someone would see that creating such plugins would be good for C1 and its (potential) users.
