Hello,
After purchasing the Capture One software for Nikon, what happens if I change my camera, for example Canon, is the software still compatible or do I have to buy a license.

    Ma CO version "grand manitou" coûte plus cher parce qu'omnipotente.
    Les versions "marques spécifiques" n'offrent pas la même flexibilité et
    sont offertes à moindre coût.

    Je crains qu'un passage à un autre fabricant engendre l'achat d'une
    version spécifique à ce dernier.

    My CO version "grand manitou" costs more because it is omnipotent.
    The "specific brand" version does not offer the same flexibility and are
    offered at a lower price.

    I am afraid that a switch to another manufacturer will result in the pur-
    chase of a specific version to that manufacturer as well.

    Hi jb34,

    The Nikon version is valid and works for Nikon cameras only. If you buy a Canon body, you'll have to buy a licence for the "full" version of Capture One. There is no Canon version of Capture One up to now.

    As others already said, you would be loosing on the possibilities of RAW-Editing for non-Nikon cameras.

    But if you store the images of a non-Nikon camera as JPEG or TIFF, you could be able to use the CO Nikon version for those images (to some extent).
