Incredibly slow moving images from folder to folder
I am finding when sorting images, selection a group of images and then moving them to another folder incredibly slow.
It does not seem to matter whether the images are on the system SSD (iMac Pro) or on Thunderbolt 3 attached SSD.
Moving images is incredible slow.
Any tips or things I may have overlooked.
Moving the same files using Finder no problem at all.
I downloaded the latest update 13.1.2.37, no difference what so ever.
Tried a new catalogue with same files no difference.
I like the software, just the speed of being able to sort files really spoils the software for me.
Thanks in advance.

When you have referenced images in a catalog, and like to move some images to another folder, I much prefer to move the outside Capture One.
I discussed the best, fastest, and safest way to do that here (scenario 2):

Hi Dave,
I experience Capture One being incredibly slow for a lot of actions since the Version 20 (13.0.X) Update. Even adding pictures to a user collection takes ages since this update. Before I remember adding like 1.000 pictures to a collection took like a few seconds or max 1min where nowadays it often takes more than 10 minutes.
Same thing for moving, deleting images, synchronising folders, importing images (even from my lokal SSD) currently takes a lot of time. I tried splitting my catalogue into 3 (each a year) but this is not at any difference.
Do you experience the same as well or only while moving files?

CO 13xxx has plenty of bugs, IYAM, but being slow is not one of them.My Mac is setup and well equipped to accommodate my workflow. I am
not working in libraries though.0
