cloning function - but over different files
Hi all,
Use case: group photo, on one picture the person smiles, on the other picture not - I would like to copy one head from file (picture a) -> another file (picture b).
Now I had hoped that with CO (20) a cloning could be done over several files - but that doesn't seem to be possible, or I'm too stupid.😁
Sure I can solve the problem by using other SW, but I think the use case is quite common - there should be a solution within CO?
Background: I come from DXO Photolab / Corel PS and Affinity, but I have to change to CO as I switched to Fujifilm - and I would like to minimize the number of editing SW a little 😀

Unfortunately CO can only work with one file at a time.

I had to do exactly that recently - combine two images taken moments apart to replace get both people with smiles at the same time. Fortunately their postures hadn't much changed. I was able to put both as layers into Affinity Photo (Photoshop would do just as well) align them so that the smiling face was correctly positioned and mask the top layer to suit. There's no way of doing it in Capture One. It is after all primarily a raw editor, not a pixel editor.

Ok, thanks a lot for the answers.
Question was mainly to ensure that I'm not too stupid to find the correct button, as I'm new in C1...
@Ian: Finally I solved the problem in Affinity, like you did...0
