Corrupted disk and catalogue issues.
Hi all, I wonder if anyone could help. I have a damaged hard drive with a large catalogue of images that became damaged. Using a program called Disk Drill I have easily Copied the catalogue files and the catalogue folder over to a new drive as they were on the damaged drive(exact duplicate). My issue is now the catalogue can no longer see/locate the files. The catalogue and catalogue files are on the new disk in te same order as the corrupted disk. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If the image files are on the new disk and are undamaged, you can tell Capture One where to find them now. So for example if you have a folder of images in your catalog called Birthday party, right click on it and choose Locate... then navigate to the current location of the Birthday party folder, to show Capture One where it is now.

Hey Ian. Thanks for your comment. I have a question you might be able to answer. Will edits move along with those files that the OP is asking about? After repointing? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Kevin
In a catalog (it's a different process for sessions) the information about the edit is stored in the catalog itself. The only problem is that Capture One doesn't know where the original files are to which those edits belong. Once the original files have been relocated, all should be well again.

Ok great. I’ll give it a go with a test folder. Appreciate the quick reply!
