How do a place multiple tool tabs side by side?
Since I have a big screen (and a dual display setup) I want to grab two or maybe three tools tabs side by side. I know about floating panels but how do I grad a full tab of panels at once? I still want the panels to be organized by section and to also move with the rest of the window as I drag it around.

You can do that by creating floating tools and then lay
them out the way you want outside the main window.0 -
I don't think you can do what you're describing: grab a complete tab and in one step move all of the tools to another place.
What you can do, though, is add each individual tool to a tab and then drag the tool from the tab to make it a floating tool. Then place the floating tool where you want it and do the same for all other tools you want. Then dock the tools in the order you want.
For example, you could make the Levels tool a floating tool, then add the HDR tool to the same tab, drag it to the new Levels tool and move it to just under the Levels tool until it magically docks. Repeat for other tools you want. Then remove any tools you've duplicated that you don't want in the main tab anymore and you're set.
Remember to save the result as a Custom Workspace.
I've done this on my dual monitor setup, so that the image occupies most of one monitor and the tools I want, in the order I generally use them, occupy the second monitor. Works great.

I can see how saving work spaces would make switching between two columns or one column of panels much easier in a single click. That is mainly what I am trying to do, not have to drag dozens of panels around each time need be. I'll try it, thanks.
