Catalogue trash
I am clearing my hard disk. I search out the files I do not want to keep and use cmd-del to put them into catalogue trash, then I attempted to empty catalogue trash. But the "empty catalog trash" item was greyed out. I then found that the "trash" folder is empty.
But the files had disappeared from the catalogue.
Have I missed something?
Thx for ideas.

Using cmd-del deletes images from the catalogue and from the disk.

Thx Walter for your input.
To be quite frank, I don’t really know what an album is. I was going through my folders searching for raw files I should delete. I selected them and thought I had sent them to catalogue trash by cmd-del. The files disappeared from the catalogue but still remained in finder, and I could not empty catalogue trash.I used to work with Lightroom, but changed to Capture One at the urging of Fujifilm. So far I have found the programme overly complicated and completely unintituitive. That is fine, there is usually a learning curve. So thanks for helping me.So what went wrong?KT0 -
Thank you Walter for your patience.
I am quite sure I followed the correct procedure. It went wrong. I have tried it again and it worked as expected. Strange.
I guess I have to keep at it.
