Why are some images from imported Lightroom catalog are showing up as black.
I have imported a Lightroom catalog into Capture One Pro 20 for Fujifilm. Some of the images were showing as "offline" so I right clicked on them and selected "locate." I then browsed for and chose the correct file. After doing so, the image(s) no longer show as "offline" but instead, show up as just black. I have checked the actual files and they are not corrupted - I am able to open them in other software programs with no issues. I tried regenerating the previews, syncing the metadata, nothing works. I can, from Capture One, send the image in question to Photoshop Elements and it will open without issue.
What is going on and how do I fix it?

Are they Fuji files?
Do they comply with the general file size min and max limitations? (See the release notes or search the Community pages for related articles.)
If all looks ok in that respect and the files are in an RGB colour space not black and white then other reasons will need to be investigated.

Since there are a number of images, I'd start by looking for common factors (shared by all images shown as black) and unique factors (not shared by images that are shown as expected)
Consider the following factors as a start: Camera model, lens model, file type, file location (eg folder and drive type - Thunderbolt or USB or NAS or maindrive), pixel dimensions (there is a 512 pixel miminimum count per axis), B&W (B&W with alpha channel is not supported), processed by other 3rd party SW, layer count, layer types.
If the only common factor and only unique factor is the drive, try copying the images to another drive. If that fixes the problem, then C1 is having trouble acessing the drive.
Also try resetting all adjustments to default, and try using the auto adjustments.
Also check what happens if you import the original image file.
Problems that have been reported in the past (and may or may not been fixed)
- Problems with TIFF files
- Problems with NAS access
- Problems with some thrid part SW that is not Adobe
- Problems with certain files type, more frequently when they are newly supported
- Problems with certain B&W file types
- Images with less than 512 pixel onan ny axis (e.g. 400x768) are not supported
Mostly I recall any of these resulting in a failure to read or failure to import, not a black image.
