Metadata - How to delete suggested values from the dropdown lists?
I've been a bit sloppy about typing items into the "IPTC - Image" fields such as Country and City. For example, if I type "c" in the Country field, these values appear in the dropdown list: Can, Canada, Candaa, China.
I'd like to remove Can and Candaa from the list. I've tried all manner of keystroke and mouse combinations, but to no avail. No image has these values attached to it. Searching for a solution has also produced no results.

There is a "Reset Metadata Completions" function in the Metadata tool.
Top line, extreme right - an icon with 3 dots.
This, as far as I know, will clear all stored completions not just a single field. I may be wrong about that. I've never used it.
Previously created completions are saved in the user.config file which is dynamically maintained as we use the application.
If you are OK with the idea of editing XML files you could dive into it and get rid of the lines you don't want.
The file contains pretty much all of the personalised variables we generate during use. So worst case is that one loses various personalised settings. However it would easy enough to take a back up copy of the file and alter that and so retain a safe copy of the file to go back to if required.
The location of the file in the system changed from the 13.1 build release so knowing where to find it is dependent on knowing which release you are using.
