How Much Hard Drive Space Does Capture One 20 Pro Take?
I use a Mac and I'm interested in how much drive space the application takes including, on a Mac, "Other".
Capture One's statement that one should have at least 10GB of drive space to use the programme doesn't answer the question. Also, I'm interested in the programme, not the various add-ons that are available.
Thanks

The application bundle Capture One 20.app is a little less that 1 GB (917.1 MB for 13.1.3).
Files in your Library folder total to less than 100 MB. The largest of those files are Logs that could be deleted if space is tight.
An empty, never used catalog takes little storage, about 205 KB. I've a currently empty session that is using about 1 MB.
The majority of space needed is for you images and the associated databases. A catalog with about 47K images uses a database of 183 GB NOT including space for the original images. The 183 GB is for previews, thumbnails, metadata, and editing instructions.
Sessions and catalogs may be placed on any drive.

Thanks Marco,
That is exactly what I wanted to know. I've just installed Lightroom Classic and the obligatory Creative Cloud on a new computer. I am not happy, and that's before installing Photoshop. There seems to be a question about whose computer it is, mine or Adobe's.
I'm thinking about my future image processing software :)
