You can follow the links on the main site to purchase 20, and there's an option to upgrade from previous versions, for which you'll get a discount.

If I were you I'd try out a trial of version 12 first, to see if the R5 is supported. 20 isn't ready for prime time.

Otherwise also consider sticking with 11 and converting your R5 files to DNG.

You can see from the list provided here

    https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718118-Camera-models-and-RAW-files-support-in-Capture-One-#h_af1e6c60-5aa0-4c94-aba5-07e141364fb3

that the R5 is not supported by Capture One 12. Support was brought in with Capture One 20 (13.1.2).

I'd suggest that Rob is overly pessimistic about the virtues of Capture One 20. (After all, we are apparently now heading towards version 21.) I'd give 20 a trial, and I'd suggest that you might get on better with it than with converting to DNG and using 11. (Would that even work?)

I may be, but citing the impending version 21 as evidence that 20 is in a state that’s ready for production workflow use is a shaky correlation at best. C1 has been releasing new versions for years without fixing issues that continue to plaque both the old and the new.

Well, maybe. But a lot of users seem to be getting on well with 20. And my point was that if you think that 20 "isn't ready for prime time" then with a new version in the pipeline, it is unlikely that 20 will significantly change from now. So you either try it as is, or not: there is no point waiting until it improves.

That’s exactly right. Essentially with C1 you have to pay for bug fixes. Well, actually you have to pay to maybe get bug fixes.
