png export to InDesign issue

I capture an image in C1.  I "edit with" either Affinity Photo or Photoshop (via Tiff) to create a transparent background.  I export from Affinity or Photoshop as a .png.  (If I try and export from C1 as a .png I get a black background.)  

I can open the .png just fine.  But the file is just a noise ball when bringing it into InDesign.  

Anybody run into this?  I don't have InDesign so it's hard to troubleshoot.
