    Hi Byron,

Thank you for feedback on Capture One - we appreciate the time you've taken to contribute towards the development of the software.

I have forwarded your suggestion to have the shortcut for "Only Display Mask When Drawing" to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release. Hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.

Though we cannot comment on future releases and the features to be added, we recommend keeping an eye on this article - click Follow next to the title of the article to stay up to date with new features and improvements.

I see this was requested 2 years ago. I'm guessing it was probably requested before then too. It is such an obvious feature that would improve so many Users workflow that I can't understand why it hasn't been implemented. Just add it to the Edit Keyboard Shortcuts and let users assign one. Particularly annoying that if I want to temporarily display the mask I can now turn off and on the mask with "m" but have to manually turn "only display mask when drawing" back on each time.

In my view small fixes like this one would make a bigger (cumulative) difference to more users than a new feature like the "magic eraser". I suspect most of us have been fine without a "magic eraser" and would rarely benefit from it. Small things like missing keyboard shortcuts or the inability to only temporarily activate the eraser brush so that one can quickly alternate between adding to a mask and taking away from it while working on a difficult area, on the other hand, constitute daily hurdles which are tiny in isolation but are significant time wasters when considered over longer periods of time.

I really like the way Capture One allows me to customize the product. I have set shortcuts so that almost only my left hand works !

Unfortunately, I mostly use "Only display mask when drawing", and there is no shortcut for it, so I have to remember to use the mouse to set it back to ON when I have temporarily needed either "M" or "ALT+M".

Such a pity for such a product! I'd love "Shift+M" or a configurable one, it certainly would speed up my process.

    Please, please, Capture One ?

Why is the original request from 2 years ago now marked "Complete"?! Unless I missed it when I checked yesterday, assigning a shortcut key is still not possible. Seems like such a simple thing. I agree with Camperrin that it is a pity for there still not to be a way to either have a key combination assigned or the ability to make my own keyboard shortcut.
