Good luck with that.  I bought the Nikon perpetual license just before the 25% discount and was told to forget about any adjustment.  I was looking for a 10 day grace period so I doubt they will do anything for 2 months.

I have received free upgrades previously though I don't remember the time gap, but I think it was a couple of months.

I purchased mine a bit over a month ago, it looks like there will be no grace period, they want full price for an upgrade.

I purchased mine on the 10th of August 2020, if they are such hardliners, then this was my first and last purchase and I'll go the same way as Aktive Pupille to DXO. Sad to say definitely not customer friendly.  If not for free, then at least a 50% discount within a 6 month period after purchase. This is the way I would have done it in my time as a business man, customer loyalty is one of the most important aspects for a successful business!!!

People who are concerned about this matter can simply log in to the their account and review the upgrade offers that relate to their specific situation.

Personally I would like to see all software free of charge all of the time. However I do understand that this is usually totally unrealistic and would probably be an indication that the developer was find other ways to generate the cash flow they would need. Maybe something like the Mobile app model where Advertising produces the revenue stream?

basicly i don`t want the software for free, but I also find it very inflexible and cheeky to ask for the full amount from someone who payed nearly the same price less than 2 months ago.

The update would cost me 103.20€ after deducting the discount, the update to DXO Photolab 4 Elite cost me 69€ .
I can use it on 3 client computers and it is not limited to only nikon camers (i use olympus cameras as well).

We don't live in times where everyone is just throwing their money away, the companies that don't want to understand this will be left behind sooner or later.

Full agreement here. Bought perpetual license a few months ago and feel ripped off right now. I would say they should tier the cost. Never heard of DXO, but I'm off to check it out, thanks!
