Opening a new session

I'm using CO Pro 20 - Build 13.1.3.9 on a MacBook Pro and 21" iMac and every time I open CO it opens a previous session and not even the one I last worked on. It used to be the case that when CO opened, a box popped up which asked me what I wanted to do, ie open a new session catalog etc or choose a previous session. Is there a way to choose this as a preference?

    Sure it will David!

    How does it know, if you have several sessions / catalogues
    in the PICTURES FOLDER which it shall open?

    I never work in catalogues, only with sessions, and I have on-
    ly one session in the said folder. 

    When shooting tethered, I will create a new session for it on the
    desktop. CO looks in the PICTURE FOLDER upon launch; it
    won't ask you anything if it finds just one session there.
