C1: How to duplicate a layer on same image?

Ok I'm sure I"m missing it somewhere...

I have an image.

I've applied a masked layer, it is a linear gradient on the left side of the screen.

I want to duplicate this, and flip the gradient to apply to the right side of the screen, same adjustments, etc, to the SAME image.

 

I cannot for the life of me figure how to do this in the latest version of Capture One.

 

I tried the copy and apply buttons, but those seemed to only want to copy and apply to different images or variants....I want to copy and apply to the same image, which is a pretty common thing to do....

Can someone help?

    1. create a new adjustment layer
    2. copy mask from layer …
    3. invert layer mask.

    This is what you did… and I still do! :P

    Well, that copies the mask..but I"m also needing to copy the adjustments made inside that mask.

     

    I'm looking for the equivalent of a CTL/CMD + J type thing in photoshop...which duplicates the entire later, mask, settings and all.

     

    Is there not the equivalent in C1?

     

    Hmm...it appears a new version of C1 is imminent....maybe they've added this?

    CO was getting better and better at every version
    but CO 20 took away progresses previously there!
