From what I can see. A lot of people are a bit put off by you asking them to update without knowing what they are paying for. Why not release the update and then offer them the 20% discount.

    As has been said in other threads on the topic, yes it is a bit weird, but as others have said nobody is forcing us to pay for the update now. 

    The other thing to note is that I think there is an opportunity to get involved in the Beta test programme, so people can get an idea of the changes (under NDA and functionality is subject to change of course) and also have the ability to give some feedback on the functionality to Capture One.
