.ARW metadata issue

I have a folder of Sony .ARW images and the shutter speed metadata is showing 1sec for every image in the folder. If I look at the images in DXO PL4, Photo Supreme or ON1, the shutter speed metadata is correct.

If I export an image from Capture One 20 to .tiff or .jpeg the shutter speed metadata is correct.

The issue is not replicated in other folders that have .ARW images and the issue isn't a problem with Canon or .dng files.

Doe's anyone know what's going on here?

    In the metadata tool or in the information visible below the image in the viewer?

    Or somewhere else? Or everywhere?

    Everywhere. I’ve tried rebuilding the database and creating a new database. No luck.

    That seems very strange.

    Is there anything specific about the way the images were shot?  Something that makes them different form all of the other images that present as expected?

    If you directly open the images in a session (without any import activity) what does that deliver for the shutter speed?
