Image stacking
ImplementedAstrophotographer here:
Different types of image registration and stacking would be hugely appreciated, may it be additive/median stacking of multiple expositions (to improve signal-to-noise ratio), or substractive/divisive/multiplicative (to remove fixed artefacts for example, such as sensor dust, thermal noise, uneven sensor illumination from the optic path, light pollution, etc).
I understand theses are specialized features, but this type of function is already present in Capture One under the surface, just not explicitely reachable by the user, such as HDR stacking, lens correction, sensor dust images...
Specialized astrophotography softwares exist, but they tend to be either extremely expensive, or only used for registration and stacking, thereafter requiring the user to edit the resulting file in Photoshop.

I have forwarded your comments and suggestions on to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release. Hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.
Though we cannot comment on future releases and the features to be added, we recommend keeping an eye on this article - click Follow next to the title of the article to stay up to date with new features and improvements.-1 -
+1 here, would be great addition. There is a large astro community with Fuji cameras who would love this!

+ 1 here as well :)
Not only for astro, but also for macro!0 -
+1 here too!

well a "simple" HDR would be a good start;-)

+1 here too. An automatic registration, and stacking feature would be great. They can both be done manually, but it's very labor intensive.

We have to understand that all photo related hobbies do have their specific workflows and yes might need some dedicated software for specific purposes..I am getting involved with astrophotography and so far the stacking of light frames, dark frames etc.. (like in some cases 100 plus pics) are quite specific in astrophotography.
I don't believe it's justified to ask C1P to do what a "Starry Landscape Stacker" (as an example) is capable of doing..Astrophotography post production do have their own special needs..I haven't tried the new HDR release in C1P22 for stacking 100 plus pics where faint stars need to be aligned....Will find out soon..

Let me know how you get on USAntigoon - I was just googling to see whether anyone had tried the feature for this purpose.
