Sessions regenerate previews again and again.

Just started using sessions as the first entry when importing images to my MacBook. And the plan is to do the culling and editing I sessions and then import to a main catalog! But the previews I generating almost everytime I switch to another catalog or anything like that. And my CPU is working really hard every time! Is this normal?

    Previews should not be regenerated repeatedly, just once. Make sure the previews in the session are finished generating before you close the session or switch to another document like a catalog.

    And: are you 100% sure it is regeneration that causes the CPU activity? You could check the timestamps of the .cop files in the adjacent subfolder.

    You can do some minor testing like: close session and open it again. Regenerating? And so on.
