White image when applying style to new layer.

Dear all,

I am not sure who it came to that, but suddenly when I apply a style to a new layer, suddenly the image turns white. When I delete the layer all is fine again. I can apply the style to the background and its ok. This only happens when applying to a new layer. I shut down and restarted the computer, same thing. This happens when applying styles to Raf or tiff files, both. I am working in a catalog and changed to opening a session, same thing.

Any ideas?
