Capture 20 Activation Issues

So, I just purchased an upgrade from Capture One 12 (perpetual license) to Capture One 20/21 (subscription) and I'm trying to activate the new licences.  I had CO12 installed on my iMac and my MacBook Pro.  I was able to successfully activate CO20 on my iMac, but trying to activate it on my MacBook, I get the error that the activation limit has been reached.

I'm just really confused about the license management now that I've upgraded because the licensing page says that I have 2 seats, but those activations can be used for CO12 and CO20.  So, does that mean that if I have CO12 active on my iMac and MacBook, that's already 2 seats on the new license that I bought?  And further, if I try to have CO20 running on both iMac and MacBook along side CO12 on both systems, that I'm trying to have 4 seats active?  It's all just really confusing and I really just want to be able to go back and forth between versions if I need to.

Additionally, when I look at the license management page on the site, it only shows one activation.  I'm going to try resetting all activations and then try to activate on each machine.  I just wish they would make it a little easier to transition between versions.
