Does C1 hang reglarly for anyone else?
Hi everyone-
I'm testing out C1 and may transition from lightroom. I'm having a problem where C1 will simply hang and become completely unresponsive and I have to force quit. I'm trying to debug with tech support, but since the response time is generally 24 hours, and I sense there will be an involved back and forth, I thought I'd see if this was a common problem, or simply something particular to my situation.
I don't need community help with my particular situation - I'll hash that out with the tech support crew.
I'm just asking if anyone else is having the same level of instability in the software (13.1.3.9) that I am having
Thanks

I won't say hangs never happen, but they are rare on my setup. My sessions and catalog live on an internal SSD with the raw images stored on an external SSD. Reports of hangs often seem to be associated with those using some kind of network drive.
Is your session or catalog on your primary disk? If not is it on an attached disk? If on an attached disk is it of the spinning platter variety? They can go to sleep and don't always wake up. If that is the case you can go to the Energy Saver tab of system preferences and uncheck "Put hard disks to sleep when possible". See if that makes a difference.

Thanks, Marco. I doubt it has anything to do with drives going to sleep - catalog is on an internal SSD, and the problem does not occur with Lightroom. It also hangs for more than five minutes.
I wonder if it is a configuration problem, and if reinstallation would help. I'll see what the response is from C1

I run C1 Pro on both an iMac and a MacPro and use both catalogs and sessions. I cannot ever recall having it hang even for a short time.
But that could depend entirely on your computer and its configuration. If I was on a MacBook like my wife has, I would not be at all surprised to get lousy performance.
BTW, I recently upgraded to macOS 11 works without problems.
