'Could not read session data' C1 20 session since activating pre prder!
Hi, I loaded Capture one 20 this morning and it asked for the activation code/licence since I have pre-ordered C1 21 I saw this would happen in a post so I entered the licence and it said 'thank you' but now even though this is still capture one 20 it will not load any sessions I've created previously... This particular one was created less than a week ago and I need to access to make some adjustments to my edits. Has anyone else had this, can anyone help?!! I have clients waiting for the work from me this afternoon.
The text box is as follows:
Could not read session data.
'The session was saved with Capture One 13.1.0.172 and cannot be read by this version.'

Which build of V20 do you have installed?
i.e. 13.?

Hi Mark,
I suppose that you have reactivated Capture One 20 (13.0.x) while the Session you were working on was created in the later version of Capture One.
Please, make sure that you run at least Capture One (13.1.0). It can be downloaded from your account.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies sorry in the end I moved the project across to my pc which had c1 20 on and it worked.
Upon investigating and your kind replies this morning I discovered that whilst the C! 20 icon was activated on my mac toolbar the project was trying for some weird reason to open in c1 12?!! It seems for some reason since updating to big sur (and I can only guess this is what might have happened unless I accidentally hit a random set of keys that caused this to happen) the default RAW editor changed to C1 12 which I haven't used in... well a year!
Anyway, thank you for your replies I do have it working again now, looming forward to seeing the other new features in the sneak peek video this afternoon.

Hi Mark,
I seem to recall someone else a week or so back mentioning the same problem. Which is why I ask my question but in a slightly roundabout way since a single previous report and an assumption about how you might have opened the application was probably not a good basis for any sort of assertion about what may have happened.
Perhaps the/an update finds an old icon for V12 and changes it to 20 without updating the link or, perhaps better, simply creating a new icon?

Of course no that makes sense, so I'm currently on V20 Build 13.1.0.172 V20 'was' previously definitely my default for opening sessions, and the session was made in the V20 build 13.1.0.172 the week before. The only thing that changed as far as I am aware... is that apple spammed me to tell me to update every couple of hours and I had a day off so decided to update everything. After that it seems for some reason sessions defaulted to try to open on C1 V12 which was on my computer still. I guess I really should remove it as it's not like I can use it anymore (I don't think...). Anyway from that I would say its something to do with the big sure update for some reason setting sessions in some cases to open in previous versions of C1, but I know that might change from computer to computer. Also if it helps I double clicked the session icon from the folder rather than from the open recent sessions screen which opens when you open C1 20 normally.
