Feature Request: Thumbnail gallery view with the option to see only the cropped version of the photo
ImplementedHi,
I've been using Capture One for about a year now. I prefer it to Lightroom for the RAW colour profiles and tethering ability during live shoots. However, I am a serious event photographer and require the ability to see all of my photos in gallery view before exporting. I do this to review colour and white balance consistency throughout the photos. Capture one lacks the ability to view all photos in gallery view with only the cropped parts of the photo showing. I can, however, select up to nine photos to view this way, but not all photos. This is highly annoying and seems like an easy fix for the product. I figured this would be included in the "Capture One 21" update, but it was not. Lightroom has this ability, and from a user perspective, the option to see or not see cropped parts of the photo should be included in the product.
Lightroom is the standard, and I'm assuming C1 is trying to compete. Unfortunately, C1 is only competing when it comes to colour profiles. When it comes to photo management, the software is lacking in many regards and will remain a second class product if similar concerns from users are not taken seriously. There are several topics about this issue dating back almost 5 years.
Please include this fix in the next update and streamline the photo management part of the tool to be more user friendly. Take cues from Lightroom or improve upon what they've done. Don't try to "reinvent the wheel".
Thanks,
Julian

This would be an amazing feature.to have, just a toggle to turn on/off cropped viewing of thumbnails would be most helpful.
