Selected crop aspect ratio only appears after dragging crop box.

Using the crop tool, if I choose an aspect ratio (4:3) from the dropdown, the crop box overlay remains the same as the previous aspect ratio (let's assume 3:2).  The crop box doesn't change to the aspect ratio I selected until I actually 'grab' the crop box and make an adjustment.

Is there any way to crop the image from the center to the new aspect ratio without dragging the box?  I often crop images from 3:2 to 4:3, and would like the box to auto-crop to 4:3 from the center of the image when I select the aspect ratio.  Currently I have to drag one of the sides of the crop box (to get the aspect ratio I selected), then re-center crop box manually.

The other photo software packages I use will automatically show the 4:3 crop as soon as I select it.  The Capture One method seems clunky.

    Thank you for this post.

    We have several similar requests on the same subject (the crop box to be changed automatically when the aspect ratio is changed).

    I will also forward your comments and suggestions to the Product Management team for further consideration.
